Access Ledger - ZAP Data Hub importing error in Access Ledger

To resolve the error, 'Sorry, you don't have appropriate permissions'. Click logout below to try logging in as a different user. Follow the instructions below.

  1. Log in to Access Ledger and select the required entity.

  2. Select the Accounting Period, then the Information tab.

  3. Click on the File Settings cog at the top right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Select the entity, then log in to Zap Data Hub.

  5. You will then be redirected to the connection.

  6. Search for the entity, then click Set.

  7. Select the accounting period, then click LOAD DATA.

A pop-up message displays once the data has been successfully loaded from the connection.

Important: You must have access to Zap Data Hub as a report user and log in regularly to keep your token active. Tokens typically expire after around 90 days.

If the entity is not available for selection, or is added as a source but will not load, this can occur when the entity has no data in Zap Data Hub (for example, no Trial Balance is present), which prevents it from linking correctly.

First, sign out of the source in Zap Data Hub, then sign back in and save. This re-establishes the link between the source and the entity. Then follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to Zap Data Hub as a user with full access.

  2. Check that entity data is present, for example, confirm a Trial Balance exists. See The Compliance Reporting user guide for more instructions if needed.

  3. If the entity is not available in Zap Data Hub but appears in the Data Source entity list, sign out and sign in to the source in Zap Data Hub, then click the Save icon, then run a full refresh for that entity only.

  4. In Access Ledger, run the steps at the top of this article to confirm the entity is connected and data has been imported.

Note: A user with full access in Zap Data Hub is required to run a model refresh.
