You can generate livestock reports based on quantities entered and control how the Profit or Loss page displays.
Separate Trading Accounts is selected by default. This creates a separate page for each trading account.
Average cost per head displays when you select Average Cost in the Livestock Calculator.
Use either Separate Trading Accounts or Spread by Trading Accounts, not both.
When you link accounts correctly, the Profit or Loss splits by trading account.
There are two ways to generate livestock trading account reports:
Show livestock balances in one report
Use this method to display livestock balances in a single Profit or Loss, spread across trading accounts.
Go to Reports, + New Report.
Select the report, then select the accounting period.
Under Spread by, select Trading Accounts.
Generate the report.
The Statement of Profit or Loss shows livestock balances spread across trading accounts.
Create separate pages per trading account
Use this method to generate a separate Profit or Loss page for each trading account.
Important: The following error will occur if you have both Separate Trading Accounts and Spread by Trading Accounts selected at the same time: "You cannot separate trading accounts and filter by them in your columns at the same time". Clear the Spread by option and generate the report again.
Go to Reports, + New Report.
Select the report, then select the accounting period.
Expand the Statement of Profit or Loss section.
Select Separate Trading Accounts.
Generate the report.
The system creates a separate page for each livestock trading account.
