HandiLedger data cannot be imported into Access Ledger when transactions are out of balance.

Fix transactions in HandiLedger
Log in to HandiLedger.
Select your entity and relevant financial year.
Go to Tools, Fix Transactions, Ok.
Ensure all transactions balance. Click Fix to rectify those that do not.
If no entries appear, click Close.
Go to View, Transactions. and ensure all individual entries associated with a transaction number share the same date as the transaction.
