Access Ledger - Transfer data to Access Tax in Access Ledger

Steps to export your data from Access Ledger and import it into Access Tax using the Tax Transfer feature.

You can transfer Access Ledger data directly into Access Tax using the Tax Transfer feature. The process has two parts: exporting the data from Access Ledger, then importing it into Access Tax.

📌Note: The Integration Server feature must be enabled before you begin. For more information, refer to the Access Ledger Administrator Guide.


Export data from Access Ledger

To export your data from Access Ledger ready for transfer to Access Tax:

  1. In Access Ledger, select the client entity and navigate to the Accounting Periods tab.

  2. Click to select the dataset.

  3. Navigate to the Balances ribbon and select Tax Form.

  4. Review the figures.

  5. Select Tax Transfer.

A message confirming a successful transfer will display at the bottom of the screen. The data will be exported into items on the company tax form in Access Tax.


Import data into Access Tax

To import the exported data into Access Tax:

  1. In Access Tax, highlight the client.

  2. Select an existing tax form or add the appropriate tax form.

    • A message will ask if you want to import data when you select or add the tax form.

  3. Select Import Access Ledger Data.

  4. Check the imported data.

The data from Access Ledger is imported into the items on the company tax form.
